Lysley Tenorio recently chose Both is Better LLC to design and develop a book website for his upcoming debut collection of short stories, Monstress.  If you haven’t heard of Lysley yet, chances are you will very soon.  His collection just earned a starred review from Publishers Weekly, is soon to be recognized by Barnes & Noble’s Discover Great New Writers program, and he’s already garnered more awards and fellowships than I can spend time listing here.

This week, we launched Lysley’s new site.  I had an amazing book cover design to work with, and moreso than is usual with my clients, Lysley and I collaborated on the layout–with beautiful results, if we do say so ourselves.

Congratulations to Lysley Tenorio, and I hope you’ll join me in checking out this much-anticipated debut when it hits bookstores next month.

Two new articles of mine appear in the November/December 2011 issue of The Pennsylvania Gazette, my alma mater’s alumni magazine.  I hope you’ll take a moment to check them out.  One is a fun window into the world of Architect Barbie, the other is about an inspiring project to change the way people make New Year’s resolutions.   I love writing about my fellow Penn peeps!  Always a good time.

Author, educator and mountain climber Leslie Rapparlie recently chose Both is Better LLC to design and develop a book website for her forthcoming nonfiction title, Writing and Experiential Education: Practical Activities and Lesson Plans to Enrich Learning.  Together, Leslie and I conspired on a look and feel that would both echo her book jacket and leave room to highlight her other work.  She’s also a fiction writer with an MFA in creative writing from Rutgers–Camden (in fact, we first met in a fiction workshop in that program) and she’s co-authored several nonfiction books about outdoor adventure sports.

Today, we launched Leslie’s new site.  I have to be honest, it’s one of my favorites to date.  We wish Leslie well as her publication date approaches (November 4th)!
