We can’t take credit for the whole site on this one, but over the summer the Urban Affairs Coalition came to Both is Better LLC with a bit of a dilemma.  They’d been immersed in their website redesign project for quite some time–it kept getting delayed for this reason and that, and before they knew it two years had passed.  The design files that were fresh and current at the outset of the project had become somewhat dated-looking by the time they were ready to move forward with the actual coding and development.

Enter Both is Better–we were asked to use the old files as a starting point and to completely redesign everything that appeared below the nav bar on the homepage.  I’m very proud of the results, and I’m so excited to congratulate UAC as they launch their new website today.  Their years of hard work and waiting have paid off!

Last fall, author Signe Pike chose Both is Better LLC to design a book website for her then-forthcoming memoir, Faery Tale: One Woman’s Search for Enchantment in a Modern World. It was a great project, to be sure, and one that involved learning about the world of the faery-believers among us–definitely new territory for me!  Faery Tale is a fresh and fun read, a story that Signe tells with warmth and honesty.  She was wonderful to work with, and has become a friend in the process.

This fall, her book becomes available in trade paperback.  As is often the case when a book turns this corner, her publisher chose a new cover design.  This meant a change for her website, as well.  Gone was the sparkly green cover; we had a rich blue leather-look to work with now.  Signe approached Both is Better with the desire to update her site in the small yet significant ways necessary to better match the new direction the book had taken.  Today, we launched the redesigned site, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

Last summer, The Stony Brook School of Long Island, NY chose Both is Better LLC to head up a major website redesign project.  Their online presence needed both a visual update and a comprehensive restructuring of site content.  A writing- and design-intensive challenge, to be sure.  Today, thanks also in large part to the in-kind donation of Mark Hollis and the web developers at MacPractice, their new website launches.

It’s an exciting time in the School’s history–they’ll also celebrate the beginning of their 90th academic year come September.  Both is Better LLC is proud to present this landmark achievement (our biggest website project to date!), and we congratulate The Stony Brook School on this momentous occasion.
