A new Penn alum profile of mine appears in this month’s issue of The Pennsylvania Gazette! It tells the story of Shabnam Rezaei, a woman born in Iran and educated in Austria who came to the US to attend Penn (she graduated with dual degrees from the College and the School of Engineering and Applied Science). After a ten-year stint in the financial industry, a series of fortunate events changed the course of Rezaei’s career. Today, she’s the managing director of Big Bad Boo, an animation studio with offices in Vancouver, New York and LA that is dedicated to teaching children about various underrepresented cultures via animated entertainment.
